In the heart of the Brazilian rainforest, in the Minas Gerais region, near the town of Porto de Minas, adventurers have discovered a diamond mine. In order to sell the diamonds, however, they need to be brought back to the civilised world! The players travel along the various routes using planes, jeeps and speedboats. They can bribe the local police in order to get control of important ports and airports. The local police will then not let anyone through without permission from the ‘commandante’.

'Karatino' is the upgraded version of 'Diamantino', and 'Crazy Diamond' is its logical counterpart. In 'Crazy Diamond', the players collect as many diamonds as possible, using different types of transport and blocking each other on the way. In 'Karatino', the players try to polish and sell as much diamonds as possible, at the right time. Due to the double-sided, star-shaped game board, 'Crazy Diamond & Karatino' was nominated for two Innovation Awards, awarded during the Nurnberg Toy Fair.
